Call this guy Bp-automotive.com
Bill Hillock 270-805-1777

My friend used him for the ls swap on his nova. He can answer your question best.

Thanks Ill try him tomorrow. btw not that it really matters but its cylinder #1 not 3.

So for anybody Interested in knowing so far I believe the ecu from an ls1 cant be used for my set up. Not only is one a 24 tooth and the other a 58 tooth but the voltage for the crank sensor is different and there is no flash that can correct that. Im sure there is something out there that can correct it but getting to complicated. Next question is the ecu for 09 and up can it be programed to run without needing a smart key? I found them cheap enough now I need to know if I can make that work. If not Im just going to a carb set up for now, do the brakes suspension interior, In the mean time ill save for a stand alone and everything needed. Thanks guys.
As I learn Ill post it here.

Well I'm playing the waiting game now. I hate that lol. Thanks for the link to the lingenfelter kit. Atleast I know it can be done. I'll call bp tomorrow. I had a real busy day today so I didn't get to call him. I definitely like efi over carb. Always have. But I have to factor cost into it. Ill still need a fuel tank and pump set up. Have the harness redone and then have it all tuned. Probably towed to where it'll be tuned. I know you can send in the ecu for a tune but done right it should be on a dyno imo. I still need a cam, sprocket, cover, lifters and valve springs too. Well we'll see. Thanks for all the info guys I'll keep you posted on what route I take with it.

It's not cheap but it'll be worth it when it's done. I was going to do an ls last year when I had to redo my engine but ended up staying gen 1 getting a block from the machine shop, eagle rotating assembly with used fast burn heads and by the time I was done. I will be doing an efi swap to mine since the engine is basically new.

I would do an ls next time for sure.

I know. Your right I just might not have the funds. Once you add it all up. I'm not decided yet. Kind of waiting to see what comes my way. But I figure worst case I can carb it and drive it a few years. Then take my time and do it right. Instead of hacking anything. I have time though because I'm going to use non foulers for now.

Btw I know a guy that has a tune port intake if your interested Lmk. I'll find out how much he wants.

I appreciate it. I will be getting the fi tech system. I like the look of the carb.

I realized I didn't finish my comment before. I stayed with my sbc just for the sake of getting the car running soon and not worry about the ls and supporting parts at the time.
