Ls swap

Are you offsetting forward or rear? the main thing you have to look out for in the power steering box. Some mounts wont allow you to use the "truck" style accessory brackets, as the power steering pump will hit the power steering box. Also have to keep in mind the height of the trucks alt and intake and make sure you will have the right hood clearance. Here is a picture of how high my intake (stock truck) sticks up above the fenders of my monte carlo. I'm using BRP hotrods swap mounts.

Once I test fit the engine and trans I was going to drill a couple extra holes in the frame and use the extra bolts that came with the mounts. I was going to situate them so there is no chance of them moving.

Its not as easy as you may think! Trust me, I am going through a swap now. As mentioned above, there are plenty of clearance issues with this swap. It can be done though! Dirty Dingo makes a smaller Power Steering pump pulley of you use truck accessory setup. Hooker makes a good set of engine mounts that keeps the engine low in the frame. BRP hotrods has a nice setup as well BUT the engine sits much hire. The biggest problem with any header setup is it hitting the steering shaft. Also the transmission cross member with need some type of modification. Either moved forward or back. As far as headers, sorry I cant help you there. All I can tell you is do a search and read, read and read.

That's just it, I'm in the beginning of my project so I am open to suggestions I don't know where or if I need to offset the motor.
Your car is BEAUTIFUL by the way

What kind of car are you doing the swap in? Really looking for someone who can walk me through start to finish and can tell me everything they would have done different to make it easier. Would a car pulley set up require no modifications compared to a truck setup?
. Would you recommend the mounts that set it lower in the engine bay?
To avoid any clearance issues with the hood.
What is the reason for the transmission crossmember relocation? Is there anyway around it?

The best advice I can give you is to have all your ducks in a row before hand, make sure you have your transmission picked out, what accessories you want to run and what intake you are planning on using. you can google search the difference in engine accessories, I am running F body accessories and my alternator is very close to the power steering box. Holley is probably going to be your best bet for swap mounts and such. I have a friend running their mounts, headers and header back exhaust with x pipe and honestly its really nice stuff. Its a bit on the expensive side, but for the fitment it is def worth it. Holley even makes a transmission crossmember that works with their engine mounts for just about any transmission. https://www.holley.com/products/ls_power/ check them out, they have just about everything you need to do your swap. Its amazing for how big these cars are, how limited you are on room! Also with headers, do a search on the forum about the jeep steering shaft swap. save yourself a ton of head aches for not a lot of money!

My swap is a 85 Regal. Even though all these cars are very close , each car will be slightly different. I just finished getting mine into the car the way I want it. I used the Holley Engine mounts, Part# 12643HKR, with Anchor/Westar 2292 frame mounts with poly inserts. And as for the crossmember, I used the 12644HKR transmission crossmember from Holley PLUS the pedestal for a 4l80e. Since you are using the 200R4, you will not need that part. I am using the CTS-V oil pan as well. I must admit everything dropped right in with NO issues!

All I can do is tell you to read! Do searches on Google and decide for yourself. There are kits out there that claim to do what you want so read up on them!
