Are the pully widths the same?

What I see is.
The large pulley is.
Diameter - 127 mm (5.000 in) Width - 30.2 mm (1.189 in) Bearing ID - 17 mm (0.669 in) 6 Groove.

The small pully is.
Diameter - 90 mm (3.543 in) Width - 26.2 mm (1.031 in) Bearing ID - 17 mm (0.669 in) 6 Groove.

Is the side of the belt rubbing on the narrower pulley making the noise?

Not sure that the pulley is your problem but I stopped using Dayco stuff several years ago. Quality just isn't there. I switched to Gates and haven't looked back.
I would be willing to try. I did a lot of leg work to find this pulley and if I recall Dayco listed dimensions where others didnt, it was also readily available in town, not that it matters. I am unsure how to cross reference the part number

interesting. I will have to measure tonight. Guess i thought a 6 rib was 6 rib

I don't like to knock products, but Dayco just plain sucks.
Hmm. I am running a Gates belt. I am not brand loyal for the most part. The Dayco says made in USA. I was looking on RA last night. I think someone is making them for multiple names

Another thing to try is rub bar soap on the side of the belt and see if the squeal goes away. It will act like a lubricant and will not damage the belt.

I havent tried that but i have sprayed soapy water at the bearing and it goes away, of course i suppose it could be getting on the belt as well

If spraying water on the bearing makes the squeal go away you might want to check if the bearing center is being clamped down properly sounds like the bearing might be spinning on the shaft where it should be clamped down.

Look at the pic of the two pulleys side by side. the big pulley is clean inside and the small pulley has dirt, grease or something showing.

Another thing I see is.

The washer (arrow) and the bolt came with the Dorman stuff and might not work exactly right with the Dayco pulley. Might need a shim under that between the inner race of the bearing and the washer to clearance the washer from the pulley.

Thank you. So this crossed my mind and I actually removed said washer completely. If you look close there is a flat washer under the bolt shoulder. I added this washer. I also tried with just the flat washer only. This fits the inner race well however when tightened down there is what I feel to be significant drag if tightened down enough. I feel there should be very little if any drag. Thoughts on this?
