The cap screws protrude out the back side and tend to rust causing the screws to seize upon removal. I have had good luck grinding the rusted tips off before removing the screwsThree of the four cap screws were seized enough they snapped off rather than backing out
Thanks for confirmation on the cable.Here is a pic of mine. The other cable is for the cruise control. It sits higher than the throttle cable.
