I used a Lokar throttle cable on my LT1 swap. I don’t remember what I paid but it’s likely more than the $49 you did on eBay. Lokar makes a good product though and the stainless sheath is nice.
Yes I had seen the Lokar option and while I know it’s a nice piece, the price had me shy away considering I was still able to track down an OEM LT1 Caprice cable

I found a 96 Caprice LT1 in the pick n pull today. I got the throttle cable $7, a nice clean set of Taylor 8mm Pro wires $8 and the opti vacuum line harness for $0.

I would have snagged the PCM but it was gone. This car has the heavy duty belt driven cooling fan setup and all those parts are there but I did not take any of that. It also has what appears to be a new water pump and a reman opti that has not been on there very long judging on how clean it was. I did not have the time or tools to go after that stuff.

Car also has a 3.73 limited slip rear. I know the rear would not fit a G body but are the guts in the pumpkin that same a the 8.5" stuff found in the Buick GN and Hurst Olds G bodies? Transmission was gonw.

If you come across the mechanical fan setup in the yards and the bearings on the pulley are good, pull the whole bracket and sell it! As far as I know they are no longer available and the lt1 roadmaster/ caprice guys would snap them up .

i would be interested if the tensioner was good.

yes, but needs 30 spline axles to work. moser has the axles on their web site.

If I go back I’ll let you know. The 94 LT1 in the wagon project is a non vented Opti. We’re either gonna retofit venting or full swap to the factory vent. I think we already have everything we need from a scavenge I previously did on a 94 Fleetwood (yes, the 94 Fleetwood had vented Opti from factory). I have the timing cover, cam gear and Opti from that car already. But either way, we also have 96 Vette in our fleet of toys. So having that reman Opti on the shelf as a backup would be nice. And that newer water pump too.

When converting from non vented to vented Opti, can someone please confirm for me the list of parts that are needed ?

I have the bracket Joe. The pulley bearing and tensioner are good. The belt was intact and everything looked proper as I took it apart. I don’t need it and I had to remove it to get what I wanted anyway. The yard charged me $15 for the bracket. If you need it for your personal use, I’ll sell it to you at my cost of $15 plus whatever shipping will be. If interested, PM me and we’ll take it from there.

The Opti distributor I snagged today for $21 is a genuine AC Delco reman with Mitsubishi sensor. This one is dated 2016 and spotless inside. Currently discontinued. The good stuff. Easily a $400+ part. Vented from 96 impala. There’s one listed on eBay now for $699.
