the new seats do look better but the old ones were awesome too. what did you end up doing with them?

Nothing.. they are sitting in my garage.. they would cost an arm and a leg to ship I'm sure.. so they'll prolly go on craigslist so someone can low ball or call to look at them and not show up. Crap like that. lol

how far are you from Topeka, KS? i see your in MO.

pm with the info, i'm looking to convert my bench asap.

thank you,

Any new shirt designs on the horizon?

As always, your stuff is looking good!

I'm really liking that sub box set up. Very clean. Is that an 8" or a 10"?

Good question lol.. I think its only an 8". that was all I could fit for room. I can always do another box on the other side too.. the whole piece slides right out.

Cool, thanks! Looks great.

I added a Mac in the garage.... helps out tremendously. Here I laid out my gauges using Illustrator.

Here's the shell I started with. Scot was nice enough to send this to me since he wasn't using it... basically a fiberglass mold of the factory gauge bezel.

This is a textured piece of plastic to give contrast to the smooth gloss black bezel trim.

And after all that here's a little pic of the results... I need to take some better pics in natural light. I'm over this camera..

All the gauges work good.. except the fuel... not sure what's going on there, but it's erratic.. and when I press the brakes, I'm getting some intefference that makes the needles creep up 10º on the temp gauges... it might be the teflon tape causing a poor ground.. I don't know.. They work good otherwise so I'm not going to screw with it for awhile...

I did set the gauges a little lower so I could see them faces through the steering wheel... the pics make it look worse I think... seeing the gauges trumps just having it look neat peeking in the window.

Nice work, Tony.
It's cool that you were able to design your gauge panel on your Mac. Is that where the title Mac-ink comes from? 🙂
I remember when one of the guys over at MR was making (and selling) the fiberglass gauge panels. They were kinda pricey, and I think sales kinda slumped. They were nice pieces, and I'm sure the materials add up in a hurry.

What gauges are you using? I love the seats.

BTW, have you heard from Ben lately? I was wondering how his journey east went. I know he was able to rectify the overheating issue.
