You Will need these tools to install headers on a Pontiac : oxy acetylene torch, welding machine, long pry bar, big hammer, porta power hydraulic jack, grinder, and sawzall. Good luck with your headers
It's always helpful to have words of encouragement from others members. If I may add one more thing, a good first aid kit and someone to dial 911 for either the ambulance or fire department. Good luck, Ken

Its 2036, my oldest daughter is telling her friends when she heard her first f bomb from dad.

"It was 2019, I just turned three, it came from the garage or as Dad called it, the 'profanity room'. I think he lost something that day because kept calling the Pontiac a f'ing hunt"

How close to exhaust is too close for an oil filter?

I have the same angled housing. The filter physically fits in the space.

Should I be concerned about it being so close to header pipe?

Realizing a relocator would also make oil changes easier, is it imperative?

Yes

Just like the valley pan keeps 1100 degree exhaust gases from touching the oil

Rebuilt Pontiac engine...........what did it cost you and do you want to spend it again??
