PONTIAC Maddog Pontiac Headers Install in 79 GP

After struggling with a 1980 Firebird with headers I have to say a remote mount kit is GOLDEN! You can even use two filters if you want. I don't know if you are going to coat or wrap your headers or not but without a relocate kit ,oil is absolutely going to drip on them every oil change. The only thing I might upgrade to is stainless steel braided hoses.

I lay a piece of contactor bag plastic over my headers on the 67 to keep the oil off when I change it- similar sitch....

Test fit was a success.
Now, we pull, paint and coat them out it back together.

Going with the dual relocator after some thought. Thanks fit the input all.

That sure is a tight squeeze. But one of the main reasons I am a Pontiac guy is those spark plugs just staring up at you asking to be changed. They say-"Go ahead- we're no trouble at all!".

I'm getting pretty excited to refinish the motor in blue metallic bc that color screams I'm a Pontiac.

Yeah, that is Pontiac Metallic Blue correct?

PT-4049Z is POR-15 Pontiac light blue metallic. The various spray can brands don't hold up very well. This takes a week to dry and then needs engine heat to cure.

I've read a lot of good things about this. I don't want to worry about overspray (my garage or the neighborhood driveways).
