Correct on the 96-97, you need the reluctor, crank dampener hub, and timing cover. I believe a 96-97 harness can simply be repinned over to the 411 stuff (maybe 94-95 too?), but for me with the b@$r@rd 93 setup I get to crimp new pins onto my existing Painless harness and add a MAF and crank sensor to it.
We've seen the Monte Carlo thread, you like complication in your life..

Yes the F body is a pain in the a**
To work on, talking about a tight engine compartment. I can't even get the starter out from the bottom, the accident sorta rearrange the cradle.
I have the starter off but can't get it out.
I would love to get rid of the opti, but being in California with the emissions testing im stuck with it for now.
I took the easy way out with the harness and had Howell build me one, has the relays and everything else ill need to keep it compliant.

Yea no one builds a direct plug in harness for this, why I said what I said.

Don't see how the Opti is anything emissions related but it's Kommyfornia so they make sh*t up on a daily basis.

I'm thinking it becomes a problem when he goes for emissions and they plug in and the scanner says it's a van, not a Camaro. Then again, you could tell them it's a van motor. I've never had to deal with emissions so I don't know well enough what they do and what you can get away with.

I went to painless, looking for a harness, but they dont carry one that works with the six speed. But Howell fuel injection said they could build one, and so they did.
I agree California seems to make up sh*t all the time. And I will have to go to a referee station to have it inspected after the motor swap, and from what I understand there a pain to deal with.

Yea the T56 stuff is 3 connectors, most are scared of it lol Rev Lights, Rev Lockout Solenoid, VSS. That Skip Shift crap throw it in the trash.

Motor is out, what a pain. I see why people take it out the bottom on the F body .
Tomorrow I'll get the engine on the stand, and do a clean up around the garage.
And hopefully get the 3.8 out of the grand prix, and swapped into the camaro that way I can have the junk yard come pick it up to make some room.
