do you have a throttle return spring? are you sure the throttle is closing all the way when you release the pedal? for sure check all your linkages.
are you running really lean at idle?
I had this problem before and it was a combination of a weak return spring and wrong timing. Random question: why isnt he on here anymore with his 2+2???

He told me he doesn't come on here anymore because he's kinda pissed that nobody ever replies to his build thread so he doesn't wanna update it anymore. Like seriously it is kinda bullshit because his thread is only 10 pages long and it's a year old when (no offense to anyone) kuruption109s Malibu wagon thread is only a month old and has more posts than his. I even totalled up all the posts in dylans thread and out of 128 posts, about 80 of those posts are just me and him talking to eachother. So anyway that's why he's not on here anymore and I didn't mean to call you out kuruption but I just kinda thought that was the perfect example. ANYWAYS the problem was the broken choke connector falling off after I used a shitload of electrical tape to try and keep it on there, but it slipped off and that's what was causing the problem. On the bright side we did a totally awesome posi brakestand. Yeah, it was pretty badass, and I was totally shocked that the 305 could do a POSI burnout. It was totally beast...

There ya go. Solder it on, then add your own quick-disconnect. You will never regret it.

Well I guess yer right on then! That's also what our auto teacher suggested but we didn't have time so dylan just ziptied it on and it fell off after running for about 5 seconds lol.

Yes, that cheap-*ss grey connector is possibly the worst idea GM ever came up with. First time anyone touches it, it's broken, plus the carbon steel tab rusts from day one.

I would just like to say that that comes off as a bit childish. The forum is here for us to collectively help each other with questions about our build and so on of our own free will. Just because your friends build thread does not have anyone post on it besides you two doesn't mean anything is bullshit. Maybe no one sees the thread or just, with no offense, not a lot of people find it interesting. But probably, it actually means nothing at all. It is just an internet forum thread among millions.

I think all of us on here will agree that we welcome everyone's questions and builds no matter who they are and do not pick favorites. There may be some, like kuruption109, that just have a few more closer friends on here.

So I hope your friend will reconsider his thoughts about the forum and still continue to be a part of the community.

Oh, and good luck to finding your first g-body.

Well thanks for that I'm still on the lookout just haven't been on the computer lately so I haven't been on craigslist, but I'm gonna look some time this week. Anyway I guess your kinda right about that though, it isn't bullshit but you gotta admit when you're bored out of your mind on the computer and nobodys posting anything on your thread it gets a lil annoying, but yeah the thing he's kinda pissed about is that the last time he posted an update nobody posted anything, and that was about a month ago. Anyway I've been trying to convince him to get back on here but he just keeps telling me the same thing, it's just stupid sh*t but whatever. I get what you're saying though it is a bit childish but there's nothing I can do about it. Well anyway atleast I'm still on here right? Lol I'll try to get him back on here though, because at first I only joined here to get in contact with him, but I stayed on and now I'm almost at 500 posts lol.

Hey man the post count doesnt matter and as far as the build thread goes, just because someone doesnt comment on it doesnt mean they dont like it. I started a build thread here when I joined and I cant even find it on here anymore

Just look at the "view your posts" area. It shows how many people have looked at your topic. Just because they didn't add anything doesn't mean they are against it or whatever, it just means they didn't have anything to add. I have posted lots of topics that got no response at all, but yet many looked at it. Perhaps someone saw what I wrote, learned something, yet didn't comment. Fine by me, I'm not here to inflate my ego, just share info. Besides, I never take anything on the internet personally!

I wish everyone was this way.
