Thanks for the comments guys! Today I was just thinking about tinting the lights and lenses, but then again it's probably illegal here like everything else. Mike, maybe check out the rates again and let me know on that quarter glass when you get a chance. I just recieved my Metro weatherstrip from Tamraz today and the freight was quite cheap. Like you were saying, USPS must jack up the rates during the holidays I guess....no breaks, even in a bad economy. Brettlaage, black trim Is a great alternative to scratched and hazy chrome which will stand out even more with fresh paint and I'll say it again this Hot Rod black really makes it look factory, but custom at the same time. My paint is a custom mix, I bought some red and when i got home realized it was far too bright, so i kept adding black until i got a color i liked and suited the car.

Lookin bad azz bruh!

that looks awesome, what color is that?....regarding the dynamat if you want a cheaper alternative a friend of mine who owns an upscale car stereo shop uses ice and water shield for roofs as a sound deadener. If your not sure what it is it's a rubber membrane with adhesive on one side. I used it for my GP and it cost me about $20 to do the entire floor.

im going with the blacked out trim on my gp as well. did u strip the chrome that was on them or what did u do to get them ready for paint. im currently in the process of media blasting mine...its working but seems to be taking forever

The Color was Carmine Red, but i thought it was too bright so I added about 3 ozs of black to a quart to darken it up. I have a bunch of dynamat laying around the shop so nows a good time to use it up. I bought some of that adhesive rubber stuff your talking about for under the hood. Looks a lot nicer than the original.

im not sure if im going to black out my bumpers or not but that info will be helpful. im painting my car the aqua blue metallic they are putting on the new GMs. im not sure what would look better.... black or a dark graphite like gray color for the headlight and tailight trim, grille pieces, and license plate and back up light trim.

what kind of paint did you use for ur trim, grilles, etc. just a trim paint in a rattle can?
