Sebastien,
What he meant was the condition of the frame, not the actual shape of it. The frames sometimes tend to rust out in the rear sections in back of the rear wheels.

It looks like you had changed the mirrors.

I like the picture of the car going down the road... 8)

arfff, sorry I misunderstood 😳
Thank you Jack, it' really nice to help me when I not includes.

Yes I changed mirrors. The Frame is in very good condition, but the floor has been repaired at the front driver side by a previous owner. I found three tiny holes in the floor to the rear seat (driver side), I will like it still holds some four years after I will restore.

I'll put pictures of the hole on the roof I have repaired.

Here a pictures of the repair. I have water in the passenger has every rain, I repaired the better for only I can ride with my Malibu. This is probably not as well as in USA, but I did as I could.

Sebastien,
I noticed that you removed the windshield. Was that done to repair the hole in the roof, or was the windshield cracked?
Sometimes holes develop behind the trim which can also cause water leaks into the car.
Were you able to stop the leak?

Yes stop the leak and yes for repair the holes a side windshield. I put the product for a corp hollow inside and redone the headliner. It was in 2008.

Good Night Jacques.
I'm glad that you were able to fill the holes and stop the leak. You seem to take very good care of the car. 😀
Are there any other American station wagons in France? I don't mean just Malibus, but other American brands.

bonne soire'e my friend. A plus tard.

Jacques

Yes I take care of my Malibu, is a car I'd like to keep my whole life. This is car that makes me much service, for large distances the Malibu is still present. I take all my family and Malibu always brings us back to the house. The U.S produces very good material.

Yes Jack, you can see other Americans Wagon in France.
Are there many American cars in France? Yes more and more.
Are there many American Wagons in France? No
Are there many Chevrolet Malibu Wagons in France? No, I have seen that A Body. Not seen other Malibu Wagon G body in France (but there can be)
The Wagon in France the most famous is the Chevrolet Caprice, Caprice Wagon they are several.
I've seen but rarely, Pontiac Wagon, Buick Wagon or Ford Wagon.
But the cars we see many many many in France are: Mustang, Corvette, Chargeur, Camaro, Cadillac,...
I have a friend who has two Imperial 1960, this is very rare in France.

Sebastien,
I think I remember you telling me that Caprices and Caprice wagons are fairly common there...besides Ford Taurus and a few other American brands.

Your friends '60 Imperial looks very nice. And you said he has two of them? A '60 Imperial is kind of rare in the US. I'm sure not many have survived. I think Cadillacs from those years were more common than Chrysler Imperials.

The Malibu wagon that my taillights came from. Was that a local car, or was it also a Swiss delivery?
