manual lock up 200-4r

TCI is a trans builder (Total Cost Involved). They do a lot with aftermarket install parts.
I thought factory locked the converter in third and fourth, might be just fourth. They disengage the converter with the brake so it doesn't chug the motor when you roll to a stop. If you hot wire the converter and don't unlock it at low speed you'll know what I mean.
Yes you should be able to wire a hot and ground to make it work. Unless it is grounded inside the transmission, then you only need to provide power. Since you said you have four wires, I am guessing it isn't a single wire setup.
What color are your wires?
Do you have a test light? Are any of your wires hot? Is the trans still stock? Is the harness original to the car? I thought most 200R4s were in computer controlled cars and were two wire setups.
On my car the purple wire is the power, pushing the brake turns off the power to the wire. If you don't have power at the plug, check your switch at the pedal. The brown/black wire is the ground that completes the circuit and turns on the solenoid locking the converter. In my car these wires are not in the computer harness, but in a separate plug(white I think) next to the computer harness inside the car at the right kick panel. The brown/black does go to the computer and to the ALDL (scanner) plug under the dash. If you have power on the purple wire, try grounding the brn/blk and listen for a click in the trans. You should be able to hear the solenoid function.
Good luck

right now all i have is the four pin connector in my garage cause i saved it cause i knew i would have to use it later. all my wires and computer stuff i pulled out the car was a t type and the computer used to control the trans but i put a 350 in it

how can i have power in the purple wire when it only has two feet of wire attached to the plug lol...

If your plug has purple and brn/blk wires in it, try to hook them up as mentioned and see if the solenoid works. If you use a 10A fuse on the power side I don't think you can hurt anything. What color are the wires in the plug?

ok il give it a try in the morning, so basically if i get it to work i wanna flick the switch when i hit 3rd gear then flick it off as im comming off the exit ramp? would i turn it off at any time as long as im passed 3rd gear? or wait till second?

i dont really know anything about transmissions. i dont know what the solenoid is or what it does lol or 4th gear pressure switch i was hoping this would be simple

that picture of the transmission in my post is the bottom of the transmission and is what you see when you remove the pan and the filter. The solenoid is installed with 2 10 mm bolts and the 4th gear pressure switch is threaded in. I don't play with automatic transmissions but this really is a simply job

You can flip it on in fourth and off when you decelerate to stop or exit. I usually don't flip mine on at all unless I am going a distance in OD. I generally drive my car in town in third.
