I hate to say all the work you put in your car Just to make it look half done . That monte looks like crap blotchy to say the least .

The only thing you get by painting a car a satin or flat piant is losts of question of when you going to paint it . Let it to the rat rods not a 80"s ride

Thanks for the compliments guys. While I may agree that a lot of flat black cars don't look that great, I think there can be a big difference when it comes to satin. It's really hard for the flat to look uniform, it's almost alway splotchy or striped. The satin seems to lay a lil better. I don't think mine looks too splotchy and the only stripes are on the roof and are hard to see.
I also used spray paint. If done with a gun and say the Blitz Black, there is no reason it shouldn't come out pretty good. My main concern at the time was just getting the car one color. And honestly no one really asks when i'm gonna paint it, the response is usually pretty positive. I think the matte finishes are just becoming more accepted(and possibly overused). I'm still all for it at this point though, they just look evil.

IMO, nothing looks better than the mirror shine of a clear coat, but to each his own.

there is a few options for you to do that though a gun ppg makes a paint for tracters its alk200 and can make that from flat to gloss u can mix it with a hardner so if you do that you would want to get it a little flater and now there is some clears that you can flaten too so you can play with it and still have the base clear. i have heard that some people put thinner in some emanels too kills some of the shine no more blots and strips unless your gun sucks and the way that you spray it.
