HAHAHAHAHAHHA! **** I guess we should of told him to check the coolant level before tearing the engine down.

if the milky oil has made it to the top of the engine I think it's too late to check anything...

Took my intake off an didn't really find nothin wrong with gasket but on one side at the back the gasket was separating from metal around bolt hole an that gasket had silicone was all over the back of the gasket. Is it normal to put silicone over the whole gasket

Took bottom head bolt out of driver side antifreeze came out look et gasket it seem to be fine with little soft spots. Head an block seem to be fine

No its not normal, sounds like someone installed a used gasket and tried to seal er with silicone. The only place there should be silicone is at the bottom corners where the intake gasket lays on the rail seals. Put the intake back on do a oil change. Warm up the engine and do another oil change while its hot. Ya should be allright depending how long its had this problem. I have gotten away with this several times. Keep a close eye on yer coolant and oil for the next while. good luck bud

Blown head gasket should be pretty obvious when looking at the gasket. Assuming it came off without ripping all to hell.

Dunno how he looked at the gasket and head/block then. Looks like more work to do! Goodluck 83gbody. I've chased a couple water in the crankcase issues down myself. One was a pain the other was extremely obvious.

Yeah the head is off the motor but everything looks ok

if the head gaskets look ok then the heads should be sent out to be magnafluxed...and if they come back ok then the block need to be checked. What does the oil in the crankcase look like?
