Geez...I remember first building models back in the '60's. AMT kits were like $1.50 or so....I know I'm dating myself. I give you guys a lot of credit, at least you finish your models. I have a bunch sitting on my shelf in various stages of completion. They're all painted, but need assembly. A '40 Ford sedan, pickup, and sedan delivery.

Back then, you were able to buy separate parts and component kits, like engines (all chromed out), headers, blowers, wheels, etc.
I think the last model I got to finish was a stock '32 Chevy roadster Hubley metal kit.
