Guys, dash is almost out- while out, want to repair small cracks, etc... Paint? How have you guys done this with great, original looking results? I've looke at "just dashes" as well, but that's expensive I'm assuming. Thanks

Have you considered a dashcap? I think you can also purchase a plastic welding kit, but I don't know if it would be cost effective. I believe Harbor Freight may carry one.

My buddy used the plastic weld kit before. It fixed the crack but didn't look so good.

Dashcaps aren't that bad, as long as you get a decent one...and not a half cap. It must be a full cap that covers and wraps around the lower portion of the dash.
I'm sure G-body parts, Mike's Montes, Dixie Monte Carlo, etc. should carry the good ones.

Has anyone had their dashboard done by Just Dashes? Since they have to work with the crap that the customer sends them, it seems like prices can vary based on upon the amount of labor to restore the foam layer before they can apply the vinyl. Any Forum experience?

I don't remember who but someone on here redid a dash with a full cover and it came out great, the dash he started with looked like one that most people would have just thrown away with really bad deep cracks everywhere and he fiberglassed it and filled it and then took his time gluing everywhere and I remember him having dozens of little clamps holding it while the adhesive dried.
