Yes it is. I believe they did a wagon version of those too

What about the mid 90's Lumina/Monte Carlo? Although the Monte never had four doors, the nameplate was resurrected from the lumina.

Wasnt the Lumina made as a sister/family car to the monte carlo? I know that everything the Lumina come with was the same as the monte carlo. Engine/trans, Interior, front end and rear end.

When the Monte Carlo came back, the 2 door Lumina was dropped and Monte Carlo badges were tacked on. It was a Monte in name only.

Ok i understand that part, the lumina took the place of the Monte carlo for a few years, than they brought the monte back as a lumina look-a-like and turned the lumina into a 4 door. So why keep the same look on both? Was ther money issues with GM or just the fact that it was an easy design to keep on the market?

GM was very lazy, and I figure it was a simple way for them to bring back a popular nameplate and increase sales, even if it was a Lumina. I think the monte even kept the Lumina's Z34 designation for the first few years to top it off.
