Ok i understand that part, the lumina took the place of the Monte carlo for a few years, than they brought the monte back as a lumina look-a-like and turned the lumina into a 4 door. So why keep the same look on both? Was ther money issues with GM or just the fact that it was an easy design to keep on the market?Mikes84GP said:my86442 said:Wasnt the Lumina made as a sister/family car to the monte carlo? I know that everything the Lumina come with was the same as the monte carlo. Engine/trans, Interior, front end and rear end.Mikes84GP said:What about the mid 90's Lumina/Monte Carlo? Although the Monte never had four doors, the nameplate was resurrected from the lumina.
When the Monte Carlo came back, the 2 door Lumina was dropped and Monte Carlo badges were tacked on. It was a Monte in name only.
