monte carlos with manual transmission

When Chevy downsized the Monte Carlo for 78 they dropped the base price BUT the base engine was a 6 and the base trans was a 4speed manual. And they were bragging about it. They hadn't even offered a 4speed since 71 in a Monte Carlo. 70-77 all had V-8s standard equipment.

The 3 speed was the base trans, came with a 2.93 in the rear. The 4 speed was optional.
