hey Mr. Rockford, about how much did it cost to do the LT1 swap minus engine if you dont mind. what about wiring harnesses?

p.s. arent you on ISSF also?

couple of hundred bucks so far ,minus the engine and trans and front suspention parts.

No its not even running yet,its up for sale ,and if no one buys it this time Its ment for me to keep it ,I'm getting the fender and nose painted this comming week so she will be all silver again.,just finished hooking up the fuel line and fuel pump relay so it comes on when the computer tells it to.

I doubt you will want to sell it after you finish it and get to drive it. The power and drivability will be hard to get rid of. Even running 3:73's and 93 octane mine still gets around 20mpg if I keep my foot out of it. And the best part is it doesn't matter if it's 20 degrees or 100, it starts right up and idles perfect, try and pull that off with a carb.

I bought this monte for $150 and sold the 4.3 for $350. I haven,t had a g-body in a long time and can,t wait to get going on this one. The body is straight and mostly rust free. It was a stolen recovery thats why it has weird set of rollers on it. Only things they stloe where the wheels and tires and the battery.

My dad is building an 86 ss with an LT1 and he has an extra ss and I may use the interior but I like the way it looks. Most people get these and the first thing they do is put an ss nose on it. I would rather keep it the way it is, exterior wise.
