86SS Monte Carlo
Here's my 86 SS monte Carlo I picked up back in may.I traded a running 307/powerglide powered 69 Chevelle 4dr hdtop for this body as a roller.
Been working on it ever since.Dropped in my fresh 468.Put in a turbo 400 with Coan valvebody/trans brake & Coan Converter.The car hasn't been driven yet,but it's getting closer as money comes in...LOL!
My next big step is too mini tub it.Not sure if I'll widen the stock inner wheel houses or try a set of tubs.I'd like to find brand new inner wheel houses to put in it..anybody know if they can be bought or where to get them?I had a buddy narrow a 70 Chevelle 12 bolt for it.It will be an inch shorter on each side over a stock width G body rear.I'll pick it up next week sometime.I got a free 6" cowl induction bolt on hood for it,but it wasn't in the best shape,so my neighbor/friend Brian who owns a body shop is getting it ready to paint in between other jobs at his shop.Might get it back soon too.Right now the stock hood barely closes with the 468 & a 1050 Dominator on it.I want to add my nitrous plate,but the cowl hood will have to be on it for that to happen.Here's a link to my photo gallery.
