Most Unusual G-Body Engine Swap You’ve Ever Seen?

I was referring to the guy I replied to. I'm well aware of the costs involved in swapping these, I have one.

Saying these are everywhere is tongue in cheek. LS swaps are popular but still pretty rare in the grand scheme. Turbocharged ones are orders of magnitude fewer still.

You go to car shows and everyone says they know a dozen people with one but can't actually produce proof. They just don't exist in the numbers people think they do. Mine is one of the rare ones that actually works and gets driven quite a bit.

I was just continuing the discussion. Stop thinking everything is directed at you.

My buddy Jim that's doing my transmission has a 70 or 72 Buick convertible with an LS and twins he drives it

It's not finished yet but he drives it not now of course it's winter in Northeast PA

I was thinking about it as a donor car for the project wagon, but hate to cut up a decent one since it took me a couple of years to find the one I have now

Technically the rotors and drums would still roll.....

I've done this accidently at highway speeds more times than I'd like to remember. In back, after the shock mounts get ground down a little, it will roll on the drums, but in front, you really need 12" brakes to technically still "roll" with any level of control. Smaller brakes want to scrape/slide on the arms.

Not a G-body, but when i was very young my dad swapped a nissan diesel into an 80's chevy caprice. I dont remember all the details, but i think it was auto, and an inline 6. Thats all i know. We found it years later with a new owner and it was still going strong. I snapped this pic in 2007.

The really unusual part, is it was not in North America. So neither the car, nor the drive line were common.
