Agreed. I need some tips on the reverse opening hood too.

Tim had it up for sale a few weeks ago. I tried trading him back, but it was a no go. And I didn't want to lay the cash out unless my truck sold.
So I'm not sure what the status on it is. He got the new interior in and it looks great also the new engine is in and running and driving, I think it really only needs the body work and paint now, but not sure.

As far as the hood, I used a hood hinge from a mid eighties buick (park ave etc) with the factory flip hood. I had to weld in mounts in the front underside of the hood, and then cut the center bar out of the hinge to allow for the mounting and sizing,
Then I inserted 1/2" steel rod inside the tube for reinforcement and welded it all back together. I think I had pics of the process in this thread, but if you have any other questions or need more/any pics just email me [email protected] I'm not on here too much anymore.
And I will be building another gbody some day, and will still post it up here when I do. Gotta get the next project done first though, so maybe winter 2010...
