Looks like it is coming along nicely and you have a great selection of parts there.

I'm surprised the car sits that high on eibachs. I have eibachs with the bilstein/hotchkis shocks on my malibu and I have no wheel gap.

Yea I'm honestly debating ditching them and getting a coil over setup. I know the LS series engines are a tad lighter but I figured all the extra weight from the turbo stuff would have made up the difference. They are brand new springs too, never been driven on so I think they will still settle a little bit but not as much as I'm going to like. Have you been to the track with you car? I'm curious how the car weight transfers with those springs.

I have not taken it to the track but have done very spirited back road driving and they feel very good. Feels planted and sure footed. It handles the weight transfer very well. I can't complain really. Coil overs would be nice to tweak to a road course.

This is how mine sits with the eibachs just to give an idea.

how tall are your tires?

I don't think I have measured them. I'll check them and send you the measurements when I get home.

my tire specs though are 275/40/17 rear and 235/45/17 front.

edit. Just did a search

275/40/17 are 25.6 Tall
235/45/17 are 25.33 Tall

the car looks great, Now mine is really bugging me because I'm running a 28" tall tire in the rear and a 26" tire in the front! Can't believe how much a difference there is mine looks like a monster truck!
I think the rear sits a little higher because of the spring perches on the moser 9" but the car has never been driven on these springs yet so I don't think they've completely settled

Started working on putting together my custom down pipe

never thought making something like this from basically scrap would take so much time, have close to 4 hours in those few pieces and tack welds lol
The stainless isn't very fun to work with either, very hard to cut nicely.

Haven't had very much time to work on my car lately 🙁 Been so busy with work and house renovations. Also sold my Jeep and bought my dads old pickup. I finished up welding most of my hot side.

Started looking at what I'm going to do with my interior, despite having the cage I still want the cars interior to appear to be close to stock minus some gauges and a fancy shifter. After messing around in the interior I found out my shifter will not work with my factory center console.

So looking to do a regal or GN center console because they are flat all the way across.
Or my other option was I wasn't going to run a center console and just build a shifter bracket. I was messing around with the design software at work and made what I think would be a pretty slick setup

Would put the shifter in a great spot for when I'm harnessed to the roll bar!
Also made a outline of the LSX symbol that I plan on engraving in a few of the parts I have made for the car

Another little tech tip I learned last weekend is that the summit racing brand brake proportioning valve is in fact a wilwood!!!

Love your ride. Some of your parts look familiar. Haha. Will definately follow this build. I might turbo my Ls in the future and could pick up some valuable info.

Does those 235/45 fit with original inner fenders? How wide rims? 7,8"?

Thinking about buying a set for my Cutlass. They would be 235/45, 255/45, with 8" and 9" rims.

The front wheels are 8" wide. They fit without any rubbing issues on the original inner fenders.
