Does anyone know if a 4th gen camaro center console will fit under the monte dash cleanly? I cant find anything on the forums

4th Gen is an 80's car right? I definitely recall seeing someone do this before but I can't remember for sure.

It is. 3rd gen would be 82-92. 4th gen is 93-02.

I managed to get my down pipe bolted in loosely so I can make a couple hangers for it, I'm really happy with the end result. Its 4" coming right out of the turbo then it tapers down to 3.5" all stainless.




Also a good friend of mine lent me the console out of his 4th gen Camaro for a quick test fit.




What do you guys think? I can pick a used console up for around $75, I cant seem to get a line on a nice regal console for a good price. I kind of like this option be cause the top shifter plate also has a cup holder 🙂

Thanks! I made it a 2 piece so I can pop the first piece off and easily change the plugs on the passenger side with out burning the crap out of my forearms.

IMO the fbody consoles soft curves don't match the hard edges of the 80's gm / gbody interior. Blazer, W body seem to be a pretty common swap. Gives you the hard edge look and cupholders 🙂

My biggest issue is the high arm rest, that's why I'm swapping, the handle on my shifter hit the consoles arm rest in high gear.

So I didn't get much done on the car but I did get my garage cleaned up and made some benches. The weather is supposed to be pretty nice all week so now that I have some room to work and my tools are all cleaned and put away i should get some work done this week.

Tried getting my doors lined up this past weekend but I'm having a really hard time getting the gap just right, anyone have any pointers or tips?
