My 1985 Short bed 4x4 Chevy

This is my 1985 Chevy 4 wheel drive project that has been a long term project. It all started with having to put a new fuel tank in it due to the old one rusting out. I sort of just got carried away with it from there. It was a rusty old truck that I bought to drive in the snow. Before I knew it i swapped out the 305 for a 4 bolt 350. Then started to work on the body parts. Was lucky enough to find a rust free bed for it. ended up replacing everything except the cab. Of course it needed cab corners and one rocker panel. her are a few pics of what I satarted with. Oh and after 7 months in the body shop i finally get it back tomorrow. Never ever tell a body shop that you are in no hurry to get it back.

Almost there. These are crappy cell phone pics. It's painted the same white as my 1986 SS. They will be a matching pair.

Truer words were never spoken. Looks like it was worth the wait though. Came out nice. I had a '78 4X4 short bed for about 3 days. It was given to me and really rusty. Too bad. I really would have liked to drive it for a while.

Came out pretty good! I myself am doing a frame-off rest on my 86 k5 "half-top convertible" that I recently made a "full-top convertible"(using a 74 for the donor top,and upper windshield frame)I've been neglecting my g's and am playing favoritism toward my k5!!! Lol,it's just the ULTIMATE vehicle for me,and besides I have to have something to pull my "trailer queen g-body's" :wink: keep it chevy,and let me know if you need any parts for the short bed I have TONS of 4xchevy parts!!!
