My 1988 Cutlass resto project

Got most of the wiring done yesterday, all gauges have proper senders, computer mounted 4th gen fans and radiator mounted. I am still looking for a set of headers that will work with the LT1 and the Ac box so I can finish up the little bit of wire routing so the harness doesn’t look so crappy.

Picked up a Grand National fuel tank and sender for a killer deal, I had to drive 2 hours to pick it up but very pleased. Getting closer and closer

I sent the Gutlass to the body shop last weekend, she will be gone for 3-4 months.... can’t wait to get her back so I can finish putting her together

Slowly getting all the parts together for when she comes home. I have ordered all the fuel system, new carpet, transmission shift improver kit, torque converter lock up kit and a 2500 stall converter. The next few months are going to be a long one

Wanted to put up a few pics and update this post. I was out of the country for 4 months last year and and the car was at the body shop for all of that time. The body shop got hit hard by the Corona and my car was put in the back burner! When I got back from my deployment she hadn't had much done and was going to take allot more time, so I took it from the shop to have the major rust repair done by a buddy of mine and get it running before ai take it back. I hope to have it back at the body shop by end of April but will see. Here is a few of the things I have gotten done since February

Made big head way this past weekend, got the engine started and rear wheels fitted. Cant post the video of it runing

Have made a little bit more progress…. She now has paint. The car still need to be wet sanded and buffed, and I am leaving the country again so she will get finished while I am gone.

It is called Astro Black, Mini Cooper color it has allot of blue flake in it. Depending on the light it is either black or dark blue

This project is taking allot longer then planned, with 2 deployments in the past 9 months and the body shop taking forever to get it finished. Hope to have her sitting in my garage by time I get back in Nov. it should come together pretty quick once I get back
