After riding around a few months without a hood, I finally got around to painting it and getting it glass smooth.

I redid the engine bay. The semi gloss black stayed ashy and made it look like it was dirty all the time. I went with gloss black with some clear coat over it. This is before the electric fan. I end up cutting some of the fan shroud as you can see in the picture because the fan blade was hitting it. I later ended up cutting it all the way around so it didn't look crazy. In the end it didn't matter because I swapped to the lincoln mark electric fan.

This is with the electric fan installed. I am going to make my own upper radiator support like others have with electric fans. I will take the original and just cut it back some more. This way it will cover my fusible link.

More bracing I made myself. I've had these for months but just never finished them. I drilled the holes and will be painting these today. Braces are for radiator, the x brace behind the seat and the diamond shaped braces under the hood.

Next up is prep, paint, and install

I broke this bar not being smart. I tried to tow my car around this instead of around the k member. I will be making another one.

I promise to get better pictures and some videos when I get a chance. Dang camera phone sucks. Well at least mine does. I will also get some shots of the electric fan because I have to get a new radiator anyway. STAY TUNED!!!

Hey man, looking good. For the radiator shroud you can use one off of an 87 cutlass like i did if you don't want to make one, they are fairly easy to get. I got mine on ebay.

I'm sure I'm not the only one here.I love what you do as well, that is some great boidy and paint work..Too bad you weren't near me...I'd have you do up my Cowl hood and SS rear spoiler!!!

Yea I was going to get that one at first. If it doesn't turn out presentable then I will go this route. How are you liking the mark vii fan. I think I need a stronger alternator to get the full effect of it. Its not draining anything but it just seemed louder and stronger when I tested it. I will check my voltage with it on just to see.

Thanks. I really do. People just don't want to pay my prices but they want their car to look like mines. The guy with the truck tried to get over like that.

Sidenote update-I dropped my radiator off to have it checked. My 3 core was only flowing 10gpm? or gph? Thats super low. The guy said it should be flowing at about 28 gallons. I think I solved my problem hopefully. Radiator only half cooling. It should be ready tomorrow. Price was $65 to unclog and recore/rerod it or whatever its called.

Good stuff on the radiator man. I haven't even tested the mark viii circuit yet, i finished up the wiring last night at like 1am but just wanted to get some sleep at that point. I'll be testing it out soon. I am running a 105 amp alternator though and the way i have the relays set up i shouldn't get the high spike from switching it on since I'm stepping thru the low speed first. I'll let you know how it goes.
