Looks prefect dude! I really like the black intake. Those looms make me wish I got the horizontal ones... :x Cant see anything out of place 8)

Started to do the interior in my car this weekend. I picked up 3 cans of grey interior paint from gbodyparts to paint the plastic pieces. Paint worked awesome with proper preparation techniques and the color is great.

Heres a pic of the pieces I've done so far:

Re: My 86 442: update 7-12-2012

Hey guys here's an update. I've been doing a little interior work, mostly painting and changing things to grey. I reinstalled the center counsel, pulled the dash and painted it grey, and replaced the column shift column with a floor shift model from my donor car. My car must have been stolen at some point or the column broke hence the column shift column since the car is a real 442. Also, the turn signal lever was broken, and I didn't have any wipers so that needed to be fixed. I took some time to clean up the wiring mess a previous owner created and fix any hazards I found. I think it turned out quite nice, let me know what you think!

Yes! Like that way better than the black actually.
I just went all the way back to the beginning in this thread to refresh my memory. Been a while working on this eh?
You've done an excellent job man, it's a pretty inspiring build. Congrats and keep it up. 8)

Re: My 86 442: update 7-12-2012

Gosh this thread gives me hope, my car wasnt even in need of restoration or anything but as of now at 19 years old I have no knowledge of doing work on the car my self. But I guess you learn as you go

But damn i love the paintjob and the stripes you did thats awseome

Re: My 86 442: update 7-12-2012

Nice work. You have obviously put a lot of time and money into this car and have tried to keep it looking stock.
What transmission to radiator lines did you use? In some earlier posts it looks like stainless. FYI...you might be interested in the new Hellwig sway bar set up (inexpensive and doesn't mount to lower control arms).
