Stroked? It's stock stroke, and everything else is crazy. All good ,I'm still carrying the torch.
I see the logic, though. I'm 6k deep in a rebuild. That buys 6 crate Chev*s, but nobody looks twice or asks questions. I like when they start scratching domes, and going"WTF?"
Sorry, mis-spoke/typed. Thanks for correcting me.

I see the logic as well (yours and the opposing side). 'Buy local' or 'Buy Made in the USA" products despite the price is a similar mentality to me. The same as I understand how someone will order from Amazon or Walmart.com inorder to save some $$ when they could buy the product locally. I see both sides and I don't want to say either is wrong. Meaning, I'm following your BBO build and others' LS builds with equal interest and anticipation.

To each his own - be happy with what you have and keep the faith brother :) :) (y)

<sigh> Here's where the road gets rocky. It's deja vu of the last build all over again. The machine shop Trimble uses is closing due to this ridiculous virus. The block guy, Heath, he likes is going to a shop in Baltimore, but not til the end of the month. A local guy to me recommended by my racer buddy doesn't have a torque plate to bore the block. Now, I have to find someone to bore the block. Great, just f-ing great. Why does it have to be so hard to be cool?

You never thought you need a 40+ years old to be cool, did you?

excited kermit the frog GIF

Heard from Trimble yesterday: crisis averted; he got someone to do the block. No details, but he's pretty anal, so it'll be okay.
