That's what I was thinking. It's a casting plug for the exhaust crossover that is useless. There's one on the bottom, too.. The Edelbrock heads don't have them. This intake was on the car when dad got it back in '84. I already cut the EGR stands down a few years ago.

Well you might as well plumb a fogger nozzle in while you're working on it. 😛
