Careful, this thing might end up too nice to use like a truck.

Beautiful work! I've really enjoyed watching you bring this truck back to life.

Thank you very much, glad you have enjoyed watching the progress, I appreciate everyone following along, and I've enjoyed logging my work and reading everyone's input.

Now it's screaming for a nice set of wheels

I got you covered, I have a set of factory chrome steel wheels with center caps that are in pretty good shape, though I've been window shopping for a set of forged factory Alcoa wheels. These are the ones I have-

I haven't decided on tires yet, but I'm probably just going with highway tires, maybe a little bigger than stock, but not much. I'd love a set of BFG All Terrain KO2s, but they are prohibitively expensive.

Careful, this thing might end up too nice to use like a truck.

Lol, thank you. It's a fine line between nice and too nice and I'm horrible at knowing where it is :)

I just realized that I've neglected to upload any pictures of the truck in it's reassembled state. It still needs some odds and ends. I want to replace the side view mirrors which is why the driver's side mirror isn't on yet. I'm going to add an aftermarket remote keyless entry kit to it as I don't like putting keys near new paint. I'm either going to put the cap back on or get a tonneau for it, not sure yet. It needs a timing cover gasket, it's developed a coolant leak. It also needs 4 tires on the other set of wheels. I replaced the radiator cap and the spark plugs and wires and it doesn't have a CEL anymore. It had 3 different types of plugs in it and all 8 had different gaps. It's probably going to sit until spring because I'm not going to take it out in the salt and slush. Anyways, here it is-

I'm generally not a fan of Ford Stylings - I'd say this looks as good as any the 70's -80's GM squarebody's. Quite the change from then to now.!
