OK I know way back in the day # 42 was Lee Petty's car .... but who drove #42 in the 80s? I can only recall King Richard's #43 Pontiac as sponsorred by STP. Is there another significance to the number, that I missed?

Kyle Petty drove the #42 STP Buick Regal back in 1981. Kyle's colors were reverse of what The Kings was.

I dont take your question as being negitive at all. I get that question a lot.
