Wow talk about distracting, the flames are so bad that I never noticed it didn't have door handles. Now I see why changing it was a priority.

Why ya pullin the engine?
Originally pulled it for a complete reseal because it was pouring out oil everywhere.. mainly the front cover, oil pan and valve cover gaskets..

Then upon removal ive found lifters that are coming apart.. so now im ordering a new camshaft, lifters, valve springs....

Sending the heads to the machine shop in the morning to have them checked for any valve seal and guide issues...

Got in a few pieces of my valve train..

While I had a bit of downtime, port matching and polishing the heads while they are off, then sending to the machine shop for new guides and valvetrain assembly.

Not alot of progress going on lately..

Got the porting on the heads done, sent to machine shop, need all new guides, replacing all valves, installing hardened exhaust seats due to them being an Gen 1 head, need new seats on the intake side too, and a resurface......

Hopefully have them back by the end of the week. Then reassembly can begin.
