I've decided on a direction with my Caballero. My first thought was a Choo-Choo like SS tribute, but now Im thinking of doing a Diablo reboot. The ride is black,Im going to switch to red guts. My all time favorite color combo...Then I will work on a new twist for the Diablo look.

Borrowed this pic ElCo Central...Like the vibe on this one. Love the darker centers on the Monte SS wheels...

I wanna use the more forward Monte/F Body sport style mirrors instead.

It's going to require drilling new holes and getting the proper mirror gaskets....they're angled to fit the El Camino/ Malibu bodyline.

'86-'87 El Caminos/Caballeros doors used those mirrors, look for a good used set or new repops.

Yes, I've seen them on '86 and later Elkys, but if your car came with the old style sport mirrors, they're positioned differently than the '86+ mirrors. They're actually mounted a little higher. Do a comparison...you'll see what I'm talking about.
Trust me, I was going to put a set of them on my Malibu. I would've had to redrill the holes to mount the later mirrors.
