any other questions just ask, there are no dumb questions and you're smart to ask cause that speedo isn't cheap. On most radios they have the wire for the memory that requires constant 12 volts in yellow so you don't confuse what red wire goes where. You might mark that wire with yellow tape or get yellow shrink tube so you'll know which wire is which if you ever have to do any work on it or wiring in the area.

well lol got one. i am trying to figure the wires on my plug for the cluster. i find diagrams but the color of the wires are not the same. my cluster is not a gauge style. this is the plug.

It's not that hard to figure out but time consuming. Mark down what you find so you don't forget. The way I did mine was to follow the lead on the circuit board on the back of the cluster.

The board isn't marked, I followed the leads from where the harness plugs in and found out which wire was associated with a gauge or warning light in your case. You'll see where the harness plugs into this cluster, I followed the printed circuits (if that is what they are called) to find what each wire in the harness was associated to.

okay think i figured out my wires, on my volt, gas, temp, oil. can i use the factory wires to power the new gauges. or would i be better off running new wires for the 12 v supply. thanks

I used the original power wire to power my gauges and just tapped into the sending wires for the gauges and I have had no problems
