DROLDS, the guy I bought the car from had most of the work done recently. So it looks like I will be troubleshooting all the work done. Electrical stuff intimidates me...!
Search ground connections here. There was a recent thread here about underhood grounds and members posted pics of all ground connections.Even if the wires were left off you will know where to look. Can't get easier than a picture.

Michael, which of those 2 dis you like best? When I had my 88 MC LS I had a very good relationship with the shop at Huling Bros in West Seattle - they have been gone for awhile now. Now I need to find a mechanic I like for this new MC.

So thats your area. Its a small world.,I have lived near Top Hat and in White Center at times I live in Federal way now. I bought two cars from Huling Brothers Chevrolet .My 1973 Nova SS Hatchback 4 speed car.And my 1979 Z-28 RS Camaro, Its much different now, I have had dealings (mostly for parts And the original dealer for my Camaro) With Burien Chevrolet formerly Glenn Grant Chevrolet..And never heard anything bad about them. While Evergreen It Federal Way does everything .And I muscle cars in the shop while my El Camino was there. I hope these suggestions may help you .Good luck to you,

White Center... Good ole Rat City...! I am skeptical about going to the Burien Chevrolet... Huling Bros was good to the car and they really treated me fair. Never felt like I was gouged on price. They kept ms LS running smooth. I will check out Evergreen. Thank you for the info!

I would agree with the above post, probably going to be a ground issue. Check the existing grounds and think about adding a ground strap from the block to the frame. Definitely wouldn't pay a shop to do it. A shop isn't going to do anything that you wouldn't or couldn't do to find the problem yourself other than charge you $100/hr and feed you a line of sh*t when you still have a problem. It's a lot simpler than you think once you realize how it works.
