Need second opinion from the experts!!

Thanks guys for the answers...lucky for me, I have a guy at work that used to own his own mechanics shop and knows the in's and out's of G-body motors. I already have another carb sitting in my garage that he's gonna rebuild for me, install and adjust it for me. I'm learning but I'm still pretty illiterate when comes to this stuff.

Have him show you how to rebuild it, it's not hard. Then you will know what to do in the future.
