Well my uncle as an online business and we ship a ton of stuff fedex and usps. I can tell you that usps is the worst of all the shipping companies. We shipped one box to Washington and watching the tracking on it. It ended in the guys city and never said delivered. We called and they said we will put a claim out for it. Never ever happened. Then we had another one that we dropped off at the Post office and get lost right in the post office. Now I think most shipping companies have the same policy, but when you put insurance on a package you should get it if the package never got to the customer. Well we did that and usps said it was delivered. Well the customer said I never got it. So we called usps to get are insurance and they said we delivered it yet the customer said I never got it. We sent him the same item again and he then received it a few days later.
The problem is that with small ounces you stuck with usps because they only cost between 2-4 bucks. With heavy item like 3 and up pounds we use Fedex. Almost never had a problem with them other then just the time it takes them to ship something. I live in PA and if I send something to California or a state in the west it takes about 4-8 days. Fedex started smartpost and that takes even longer.
So to end it here usps sucks hardcore!!!
