Need wheel suggestions

Who makes those mesh rims? Very 80s.

OER makes the Pontiac mesh GTA wheels in 18X8 black or gold. Classic Industries lists them for $719.99 for 4 . I considered them for my Elco, but went with Hurst Dazzlers in gold instead.

I am assuming you meant 16" x 8" and I was considering that size but found a limited selection of tires for the height I wanted, i think Gbodyparts is the only one selling the 18" and 19" wheels in the GNX style but you are talking about $1500 for a set of four 18" x 8" to your door.
Also the OER for $719 don't include center caps so that could be another $80-100.

I went with Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp2 tires. 225/55R-16 front and 255/50R-16 rear.

I bought the oer 16x8 gold gta wheels not long after classic industries first started selling them. Their 30% off deal if you spend over 299 or whatever it is, usually doesn't include wheels. Well it worked for me one night and I got the 4 wheels shipped to my door for $503. Classic wants 249 for the caps and lugs. I was able to piece the parts together off ebay for $100

I sort of do that with Summit Racing, they might not have a current discount going when I order but there is usually one old code that still works and they all come up as soon as I click on the box.

Nice! I thought for sure i was going to get an email the next day saying my order had been cancelled. Nope they showed up about 3 days later.

I'll slap some C5Z06 rims on at some point to attempt an autox, but I expect the car to look goofy. 275/40/17 is a popular sized tire, just a matter of whether or not a 17x9.5 or wider rim is available in the period correct styles shown in this thread for the long term. Sounds like the front may not be happy with that much tire in stock form on a Monte as well.

I actually tried this. I tried the next day after i didn't get an email. The discount would not apply the following day so i didn't buy. So i quietly sit back and waited to see if the gold was going to show up.

I'm sittin on chrome (like Masta Ace )

They are '80s Appliance uni-lug wheels I lucked out on finding at the Portland swap meet last year. 15 x 7 or 8. Really old tires that work for now
