Never ending project

Yeah, bloody fingers are no laughing matter! Also, since I work in food, the thinned out skin on my finger tips made them VERY sensitive to heat. Not good when the food is coming out of a 450 degree oven! The good part was that I don't think I could have been finger printed at the time...not that there would be any reason to....

Looks good in pictures! What color is it, dark gray or black?

I hope you know I was just razzin you about sanding more! 😛
I've sanded my thumb nearly to the bone while working on stainless trim, so I definately feel ya.

Looks great! Hope everything goes as planned this time around!

X2! I would rather have engine failure than paint failure. Engines are far easier to replace than paint jobs!

Thanks guys

ya Blake I knew you were

It's plain BLACK

still looking pretty good except where I fell asleep for a sec.....time will tell, but it's gonna have to be good enough this time around...I have got to start making some progress!

Just remember that it will never be completely perfect. Besides, unless you plan on entering major shows, who really cares anyways? ( I say that as I am licking my wounds from my own solvent popping and runs...) We don't have the facilities to make these cars completely perfect, we can basically make them pretty good and better than stock if we're lucky. Just put it together and drive the damn thing! 😀

Here's a pic for Blake442...

The proper restoration process for chrome 😛 .....sandblast, epoxy seal, paint

Anyone see a theme developing here???

I do see a pattern here....completely blacked out chrome and trim...
I think it should look cool.
