That is very cool. At the same time I hung out with the racers in St. Catharines at the Ontario St. Harveys with my 428 CJ powered '56 Ford Victoria. If I only knew they could be a sponsor. 😉

From a fellow Canadian welcome to the site. I'm a bit older then you, 62 now. I have a 1979 Pontiac GrandPrix SJ I've owned since new. Was my first new car. Was in my early twenties back then. Hope to perhaps see you at some cruise nights around Toronto .

Axisg - the tree and the fence , long story 18 years ago when i built the fence it sounded like a good idea ...now its a lot bigger . great shade for the driveway ...on those hot summer days working on the cars...OH HOT summer days....sounds like a dream.
Did i frequent ? no i was 10 or so in its hey day , but for some reason it's always been in my mind.
Willie - always been a huge fan of a triple black SJ , i will be on the lookout for you at the next car show ( s)
Back to Harvey's for a minute , there is ( or was ) a guy with a lime green late 60's mopar ( very nice car ) was a regular at car shows , last time i saw him was 400 & 407 in the lots on the north-east corner sunday's . he sold the window sticker & t- shirts...........did i buy one ? sadly no.
if you know him or see him this summer ,please let me know..my tool box needs that sticker .

I found someone on kijiji- search harvey's, etc. selling stickers for $5. It has a different car- looks like a 66-67 Fairlane/ Comet. Might try to contact the guy to buy a few.

Yes, the guy selling the Harveys tee's & stickers is a regular at the West End Car Shows. Not there every week but I see him at least 4-5 times over the summer. Between Kids Softball, work, and the boat I try to get out to at least 1 show a week to wander around and check out the cars for a bit.
Monday - Woodbridge 400 & 7

Thurs - Norval / Georgetown or Bolton ( think I seen him in Bolton last summer )

axisg - thank you for the information...california's , dixie & QEW..thats applewood plaza , right ? i was thinking that stopped a few years back.
i always liked that show , being a east end guy and always doing the east end shows and seeing the same cars at many of the east end
shows week after week, getting across that dividing line called yonge street and seeing a whole new group of cars & owners is eye
opening .
