That the same Vicky in your signature?

Sorry to but in on your thread Dave.
Yes, I still have the Ford that I used to drive to Harveys. In 1970 when I took it to the track they didn't have bracket racing and it would have had to run against Gassers, so I just time trialed it. Later I bought a rare 68 Cougar Factory GTE 7.0 liter, 390 hp 427. So the Victoria became the tow car. The tow car ran 13.8 with headers open and 3.08's, and the Cougar ran 13.2. The Cougar was the collector car that got away for me. They only 650 with side oiler 427's.
The Ford has had many remakes. I just repainted it last summer again and took it to TMP in October. I work at a GM engine plant, so it has a '95 Vette LT1 now. I did a write up on the swap and road test on the LTX site.

Great shot of the Vicky towing the Cougar. It's a shame the Cougar got away from you.
At least you still have the Vicky!

Dave: Applewood is the place ! It is still going although not as big as it was even 5 years ago though. Def slowed down when they built a TD Bank right in the middle of the same part of the parking lot the show was being held at. I don't personally get the whole Yonge St thing. I have friends on both sides who refuse to cross the DVP unless they have to. I cross the city ( Georgetown to Pickering ) for work for the last 20+ years and was both shown and found some cool local stuff ( restaurants, cookie factory, bakeries ect... ).

mymonte- we were living on Rosemount by the GO Station for 8 years saving for a house. Although we love the Century Homes in Weston & the newer stuff up by Rustic Bakery we couldn't afford anything halfways decent in the neighborhood so we ended up moving to G-Section in 2006.

This thread has turned out to be pretty interesting. I think it would be kind of cool to try to get some of the Toronto area members and their cars together sometime (in the good weather of course). I've met AxisG, and he's a great guy, and I'm hoping to meet MyMonte this weekend. Maybe when the weather gets nicer, we could try to arrange something.

Sounds like a good idea.
I used to get together with some of the Toronto Impala SS owners for a Saturday breakfast.
Another option is the upcoming car show March 13-15 at the International Center. I usually leave work early on the Friday and go to the show from about 4:00 to 8:00 pm when it isn't too busy.

5 more weeks till car season !!!

I'm on shiftwork, so I can't make it to the Toronto car show on Friday night. Depending on the day, a breakfast meet could work for me. I think it would be better to try to wait until the weather gets a bit better.
