Hey guys! I am getting exited for tomorrow! I am going to pick up an 85 Monte SS!!! I am picking it up from my good buddy that lost complete interest in it. The thing that suck is that its a frame and a body with a few interior and suspention parts. The good news is he had the frame powder coated! The body doesn't have any rust on it either!!

I am not new to the G-bodies. 10 years ago my first car was a 1978 cutlass. It was pee green with the same color interior. Clean car from Oklahoma. Car only had 78K. It was stolen from my high school parking lot. When I got it back they had smashed it into a pole or something. So my dad and I found new parts and fixed it again. Well about 3 months later I was coming home from work and some guy ran a stop sign. I ended up smashing into him. Totaled the Cutlass. After that I bought an 83 Grand Prix from Tennessee. Another clean car. My GF (who is now my wife) hated the car always called it ugly. I really regret selling that car. Sold the GP and bought a 83 Monte SS. The monte was a typical midwest car, rusty body and frame. I traded the Monte for an 81 El Camino to a friend. He wanted to make the Monte into a race car so he stripped the interior from the monte so I put the white and blue interior in my El camino. I lost my job and needed money so I had to sell the el camino.

I will post pics when I get it home. Super pumped for tomorrow!

Welcome to a great site from Houston.

Thanks guys! I hope these pics will load.

So my plans with the Monte are, UMI suspension parts. They look very nice and I haven't really seen a lot of people complain about them. Id like to throw an LS engine in there as well.

I am also looking for a complete a/c delete set up. If you have one please let me know.
Thank you for the warm welcome.

Welcome to the site and good luck with the build. Looks like you have a lot of work to do, and need a lot of parts. Lol
