Hello from su... er... snowy Pennsylvania. I just can't wait for spring. I wanna go cruisin'.

I bought an '86 El Camino Designers Edition, otherwise known as a "Choo Choo Custom", in September of last year. The carrier couldn't get the car here until October 25th, so I haven't had much chance to drive it--maybe 30 miles at the most--until the salt hit the roads. It's a western car (15yrs. in CO and 13 in NM) with NO rust---anywhere. But, it's got 117,000 miles on it and the motor is getting a little tired.

I also own a 1990 Corvette convertible with 53,000 on the clock. I belong to 3 car clubs and go to cruises and car shows every week of the season. This is my third forum, along with corvetteforum and elcaminocentral. I have a couple of friends with Grand Nationals, a friend who has 3 Cutlasses, and another who has a Corvette and a Cutlass Supreme. But, I'm a Chevy guy. I learned to drive in a '65 Impala coupe, 283, 3-on-a-tree. The first car I bought was a '73 Monte Carlo Landau S with swivel bucket seats, and I've owned a '78 Firebird and some Chevy trucks. So, I'd say I have a little connection with GM products.

Welcome Mike! I'm tired of the snow too - I'm here in eastern NJ. Haven't had the car out since November. I love those Choo Choo customs cars. I had one of their GMC Jimmy's in the 90's and had a chance to tour their Tennessee plant way back when. Good luck with it!

Welcome Mike, would love to see a few pictures of it.

Thanks for the "Welcomes", guys.

T.C., I see you're in my old hometown. I grew up there, King High c/o '73. My grandmother, mom, and brother were all born and raised in there. The oldest record I have of my great-grandfather in Tampa is from 1898, so we've been there awhile. Not many of us left there, now. We're scattered from Washington to Arizona to PA and Virginia.
