If you're trying to figure out if your car is actually a Calais you can check the vin number. I'm not sure which numbers and letter to check exactly for the 78-80s Cutlass tho. Also what type of phone are you using? If you have an iPhone I can walk you thru how to post pics using it.

the rear gears and posi may or may not work in your car. if it has the 7.5/7.625, they will work fine but some of those mid 80s Z28/trans ams had the borg warner 9bolt in it. in that case, the gears and posi wont work
