More progress... using my ghetto drywall sander to clean up the crusty roof, ghetto primed and painted. Promptly followed by a cruise on this lovely new england day to get some local coffee! AIR system removed and lines pinched for now (everything was leaking anyway) headers in order for temporary complete exhaust until the real motor goes in next year.

In the interest of wasting money but having fun for a day's work in the mean time just ordered an overkill cam and headers for the little baby 305, and slapping a cheap shift kit into the 200-4r. I'll post a vid up when it's all in and done!

Cam is a 274/274 .450/.450 106lsa summit special, (way too big i know) and some fleabay headers, going to practice on the new tig welder with the exhaust. deciding what mufflers i want to end up throwing on to replace the single pipe going to ghetto rusty glasspack that's under there now.

sorry no pictures... yet haha

well, when summit sells $130 cam and lifter sets... and your local advance auto parts has a comp cams double roller timing set that's been sitting there since the store opened... you waste time and money on a 305! i have sooooo much body and maintenance work to do, my
motor swap plans are last, i figure i should just get a LITTLE bit of extra cheap pep (and a cool idle, very important hahaha) out of the slug 305. cam is a 274/274 advertised duration .450"/.450" lift on 106lsa. found a cheap set of headers and $50 spread bore edelbrock intake mani, so those will go on whenever they get here also, and we'll see if we can get 200whp out of the ol girl hahaha

I saw those specs. Lol. I'm sure the headers and intake will help but without better heads, I don't think you're gonna gain a lot of power. Of course it will sound pretty mean and that's always cool. Lol.
