Hey everyone!

New to the forum, but looking forward to all the tips and help.

I'm an owner of an 86 SS Monte Carlo that I've had since high school. I absolutely love this car and will not ever give her up 🙂. I'm a mechanical engineer and have been tinkering with cars for a long time....runs in the family.

Not overly crazy on the mods (yet) but here's what she has:
Exterior: GM torch red paint with SS stripes, 2 1/4" fiberglass cowl hood, chrome Corvette rally wheels
Engine: Crate 350, flowtech headers and pypes x pipe and violator mufflers, custom fabricated dual snorkel intake
Interior: Dale Earnhardt Intimidator SS seats, 06 monte carlo center console, B&M quicksilver ratchet shifter

Nice setup. How did you get that interior to fit?

Welcome from Fort Wayne. Great looking Monte. I have a project 442 that I just got. Hopefully it will look as nice as your monte someday.

Welcome to the forum she sure does look nice.!! I have a question regarding the center console I was wondering what all it took to put it in? Or was it fairly simple I've got an 84ss Monte Carlo and was wanting to redo mine. Thanks for any info that you may have.!!
It was actually fairly easy!
I lined up the 2 bolts that are on the inside of the console, then just ran 2 sheet metal screws into the tunnel and hit with silicone. They are black headed screws so the blend in with the carpet

It actually wasn't too bad. I bolted both front seats to the original seat tracks, no power to them yet, but I didn't need to really adjust them too much once they were in (I'm pretty tall).
For the rear, I bolted the top of the new seats right in and then just used the new seat cover over the original bottom, it's a little big but I pulled all the slack to the back,so you'd never tell difference.
