Thanks so much for taking the time to explain how all that works. I had
no idea until I read your post. I do have a question. Given that produc-
ing a wheel rests on having an original center would it be simpler to
send them a painted Super Stock II wheel? Those remain plentiful in
my area and are less expensive. Since part of the process involves
chroming, would it make any difference?

I guess it really depends on what you're looking to do ultimately, and the final result. I would definitely talk to wheel shop if you can find one locally and see what they recommend, and can offer.
