I just figured I would say hi. Just picked up a 1983 Buick Regal. The one in my avatar. It's my first one. Not sure of my plan yet but will keep you posted.

One quick question
My vin # engine code is H
I cannot find anywhere that a 1983 regal came with a 305.
Just curious if anyone knows if they did or if there is something fishy about the car?
Here is my vin # 1G4AJ47H9

Thanks
Look forward to learning a lot on here
Have a great day

That H does look like it would be a 305. I was going to say "maybe its a Canadian car?" and then I noticed your location :blam: So, yeah, that's likely correct. The Chevy 305 was a common option (if not just standard) up there, vs the Olds 307 down here. At least I've seen a lot of them that way.

Good to know. Thanks for the help. Like I said all the vin/gbody regal sites I went to didn't list 305 or 307 as a option for 1983. The only v8 option I could find was a 5.7l olds diesel
